In 1665 Robert Hooke invented his own microscope. With this he discovered the plant and animal cells. To make this microscope he used a ball and socket joint, the microscope attacked to it's limb, and with a height adjustable ring.

This invention has made a very big impact on and in the science world. With out this scientists would not know what cells or viruses look like.
